Let me tell you: if ever you have the chance to gallivant through Central Park at night during a storm, do not miss out.
I wandered down the path by the lake, sat on wet rocks taking pictures, and as it started to rain harder and harder, the glee sort of bubbled over and I sprinted and danced my way over to Bethesda Terrace.
Tragically, the batteries in my camera died just as the storm was getting really good! But that's okay. That said, pictures I wish I had:
(1) The fountain was drained (except for rainwater), so I took the opportunity to get a close up look at the Angel of Waters. Just as I tipped my head back to look up at her, lightning cracked directly overhead and lit the sky purple and white.
(2) Lightning as seen from under the terrace arches, while thunder echoes around you.

I actually stopped by Bryant Park on my way to Central Park, because I love the way the buildings look there when it's so foggy out.

PS: I thought I'd figured out how maintain decent consistency of color from my PC to Macs. I'm now seeing that this is not so. Sorry if the images look really gray and dark? Can someone help me?
